Apex Legends: Storm Point Map Rework Adds New POIs and Gameplay Features
Storm Point gets a major overhaul with new points of interest and quality-of-life improvements.
Apex Legends’ Storm Point map has received a major rework in Season 19, introducing new points of interest and quality-of-life improvements. The map now features:
- The Tempest: A massive storm that periodically sweeps across the map, creating dynamic cover changes
- Skyward Station: A floating research facility with zip lines connecting to the ground
- Bioluminescent Grove: A lush forest area with glowing flora that provides natural cover
- Coastal Command: A naval base built into the cliffs overlooking the ocean
The update also includes balance changes to several legends, with significant buffs to Seer and adjustments to Horizon’s gravity lift. Respawn has also introduced a new “Smart Loot” system that automatically prioritizes items based on the player’s loadout.
To celebrate the update, Apex Legends is hosting a double XP event and a new tournament series with a $500,000 prize pool. The competitive scene continues to grow, with the Apex Legends Global Series expanding to include more regional leagues.
