Team Vitality has claimed the CS2 Major 2026 championship in one of the most dramatic grand finals in tournament history. Facing off against Team Liquid in a best-of-five series, Vitality came back from a 0-2 deficit to win 3-2.
The deciding map, Ancient, saw Vitality’s star player, ZywOo, put on a masterclass performance with 42 kills, including a crucial 1v3 clutch in the final round. The victory marks Vitality’s first Major championship and cements their status as one of the top teams in CS2.
The tournament, held in Copenhagen, Denmark, broke viewership records with over 1.5 million concurrent viewers during the grand final. The prize pool of $2 million was split among the top 16 teams, with Vitality taking home $500,000.
Fans are already looking ahead to the next Major, scheduled for later this year in Rio de Janeiro, where South American teams will look to challenge the European dominance.
