The International prize pool continues to grow, solidifying Dota 2 as the richest esports competition.

The Dota 2 International 2026 prize pool has officially surpassed $30 million, setting a new record for the largest prize pool in esports history. This marks the 14th consecutive year that The International has broken its own record.

The prize pool is crowdfunded through sales of the Battle Pass, with 25% of all purchases going directly to the prize pool. This year’s Battle Pass includes exclusive cosmetics for popular heroes like Invoker, Phantom Assassin, and Lina, as well as a new custom game mode called “Arcane Chess.”

With just two months remaining before the tournament kicks off in Seattle, teams from around the world are competing in regional qualifiers for a chance to secure one of the 18 spots in the main event. Last year’s champions, Tundra Esports, will be looking to defend their title, but they’ll face stiff competition from teams like Team Secret, OG, and China’s PSG.LGD.

The International remains the most prestigious tournament in Dota 2, with the winner taking home approximately 40% of the total prize pool.
