Nintendo reveals details about the next mainline Pokemon game set in a futuristic region.
Nintendo has officially revealed “Pokemon Legends: Z-A,” the next installment in the popular Pokemon Legends series. Set to release in 2027, this game takes place in a futuristic version of Lumiose City from Pokemon X and Y.
Key details revealed include:
- Setting: A technologically advanced city with holographic displays
- New Pokemon: Several new species adapted to urban environments
- Returning Pokemon: Fan favorites from the Kalos region
- Gameplay: Open-world exploration with dynamic day/night cycles
- Story: Focuses on the mysterious “Zygarde Cells” and their connection to the city
Nintendo has also announced that the game will feature cooperative multiplayer, allowing up to four players to explore together. The game will utilize the Nintendo Switch’s capabilities with improved graphics and performance.
Fans are particularly excited about the return to Kalos, with many hoping to see Mega Evolution make a comeback. The reveal trailer has already amassed over 10 million views on YouTube.
