Final Fantasy XVI: Rising Tide DLC Adds New Eikons and Story Content
Square Enix expands FFXVI with new content featuring fan-favorite Eikons.
Square Enix has released “Rising Tide,” the second major DLC for Final Fantasy XVI. This expansion adds significant new content to the game, including new areas to explore, powerful new Eikons, and a compelling new story chapter.
Key features include:
- New Region: The sunken kingdom of Valisthea’s ancient past
- New Eikons: Leviathan, the Eikon of Water, and a mysterious new Eikon
- New Abilities: Clive gains powerful water-based attacks and transformations
- New Bosses: Challenging encounters with legendary creatures
- New Gear: Legendary weapons and armor sets to collect
The expansion also introduces a new gameplay mode called “Eikon Duel,” which allows players to battle against other Eikons in epic one-on-one fights. Square Enix has also improved the game’s performance with several optimizations.
“Rising Tide” has received positive reviews, with critics praising its story continuation and the addition of Leviathan to the game’s already impressive roster of Eikons.
